We love Christmas.
We love the lights, the sights and the smells. So we were really excited to attend our little town’s Christmas light switch on. The street was closed down to traffic and filled with what seemed like hundreds of children, glow sticks and the smell of mulled wine and cinnamon.
Our first stop was The Christmas Exhibition which had many a Tree decorated to raise money for various charities raising much needed funds and a lovely selection of homemade cakes.
The Town was turned into a lovely old fashioned Christmas market complete with vintage vans food stalls and carnival rides for the little ones
After spending rather too much at the cake stall and buying ourselves a rum laden Jamaican Christmas cake for a bargain price we decided to head to the new Wedding shop but not before tasting some delicious homemade mince pies.

Blush Bridal Boutique,Bourne Lincolnshire
it is about time that there was a shop locally to cater for bridal needs and what a pretty shop it is.
The newly refurbished shop has traditional vintage inspired styling – with an antique shop counter to die for. They also stock a large range of accessories including wedding jewelry.
The shop houses some wedding gowns as well as gifts and accessories for the bride and bridesmaids.
We wish them well in their venture.
As the skies darkened the crowds gathered and the time came for the lights to be switched on and everyone cheered.
Despite my best efforts to stand out in the crowd (how I love wearing my silver bunny ears by Crown and Glory), I was once again outshone by the waxed moustache of my husband. Not for him the one month a year, movember tash, he’s a lifetime wearer.
A great day was had with lots of smiles on chilly faces.
